Ngongotaha, Mt
Mt Ngongotaha is located in Rotorua, and if you should tire of hotpools and geysers, then a walk up Mt Ngongataha is a nice alternative. The track up Ngongotaha was reopened in 2007 through a joint initiative between the Ngongotaha Bush Restoration Trust and NZ Forest and Bird.
The start of the walk is at 40 Paradise Valley Rd. From the carpark, follow the sign pointing up the track and past the toilet building. Allow about 1.5 hours to the top.
