Finding this track start wasnt exactly obvious. Make sure you research before you leave. Signposts are few.

However we did fall across the track by following our nose.  The track is a steady but relatively gentle climb.  Track condition isnt too bad and the volcanic sand content makes grip pretty good.  Combine with stairs, the odd boardwalk and bridge got us to the top in 1 hour.

The views were awesome. Open top 360oC views, massive bang for buck.  We had great weather but i would imagine this peak is very exposed in a southerly blow so be prepared.

A quick trip down saw a round trip of 2 hours 15 minutes including a good break at the top.  A good peak to introuduce the young to bagging.
