Another peak I have been up so many times, not for the view because there isn't one. I live in Rotorua and this is a very handy walk to build the fittness for upcoming bigger tramps.

I have been to this peak on many occasions over the years as I worked in the nearby foresty blocks and would run up to enjoy the view for lunch from time to time...oh to be that fit again. I also climbed it twice on school trips, once on a trip and the next year as a guide for the class below me. An easy trip with good views.

I was working on a DOC contract in the area so decided to do a dash for the top near the end of the day just so I could say I have been there, done that.

Just needed a day out in the bush. This peak had been on my list for a while and was well worth the couple of hour effert to get to the top. It was extreamly cold and gusty above the bush line however it is not far from there to the peak so I didn't have to endure the chill for too long.

Just felt like a walk on the tops after a fishing trip on the Pohangina River. Meet up with a couple of hunters but no deer seen.

I had been intending to bag this one for some time but when Mum and Dad who live in Te Aroha phoned to say there was snow on the top I quickly headed off from Rotorua with the boys in tow. It is a good workout but in a few hour were on top having a snow fight. It doesn't snow up there too often so was a great trip.

This is another peak I have bagged many times but this occasion was memorable as I climbed it with my two sons and the local Scouts. A great day had by all

Kyle and I were on a 10 day fly fishing adventure and took to a day of tramping for a change of activity. Was extreamly windy but the views over Hanmer Springs and surounding plains was well worth the effort.

I walk this hill during a wild storm. Watching the wind whipping up the surf and blowing the sea spary up the bluffs and 100's of meters into the sky. Love the power of nature.
