This track has recently been upgraded to a very high standard.  Its now steps and gravel to the new summit viewing platform.  I do recommend it the peak bagging list for families and for fitness training. Today was the first time for me on the new track which took 23min up and 40min return.  Well sign posted.

I have done this peak a few times and many of the locals do it daily, many stop at the official halfway mark. Once you have walked into the bush for about 10-15mins the climb begins, it is relentless...stairs, stairs, stairs only a few metres of level track at a time and not many, excellent fitness training just step aside when the more athletic hurtle through!

It is great just before dark because there are millions of glow-worms on the walk out following the stream. Magical just to walk in and out even if you don't continue and bag the peak.
