Cloudy day, a bit cool. River very low, so riverbed navigable (not that I did this, as this was my first time up). Pretty flat till base of Matthews, then basically straight up! At the top, it started to rain heavily, so was glad I brought my good rain-jacket. All up, trip was 4:18

Lovely day, and the Gentle Annie track was in VERY nice condition. A lot of people on the track ( we passed 60+ ). Had a cup of tea at Powell Hut, as there were some abandoned teabags and some cups and there is gas provided. Pretty excellent for a lightweight run/walk.
Very windy on the tops, but was walkable. Overall, took 5:25 to complete. Great day.
