I did Karangahake for the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Assessment tramp. It was a good hike and I had a lot if fun. There was good views at the top, i could see where we started. We then went to Dicky's flat campsite and camped the night there. It was a good weekend and would want to do Karangahake again.

It was a very good day to do Pirongia, there was great views and the weather was fine. :D

Along the way we did Tirohanga from both sides, the easy side and the steep south side.

There was quite a few people on the track.

Urchin was fun to do and the terrain was different. There was a small trig on Urchin. The view was awesome from the top, well most of the way there was good views.

I ran/hiked up Umukarikari. The terrain was different than other hikes that i've done. It was fun to do and it was my first time in the kaimanawas.

We were doing a circuit; we started at Umumkarikari carpark and then went up to Umukarikari and then to Urchin, down to Urchin carpark and then back to Umukarikari carpark. It was about 28km.

I finally made it all the way to the top. :D

It was quite muddy but it was fun to do.  :)

I just did Mt Taranaki. It was so hard but it had such good views.  The beginning was al up hill but it was easy. Then it went to scree which was hard going up but easy coming down you had to sort of run to a big rock at a time and hold on. Then we had to scramble which was sort of like rock climbing. Then it was the crater which was filled with snow/ice and lastly more scrambling to the top. I felt good when I got to the bottom I was thinking I can't believe I just climbed that.

It was funny when we did Mt Zion because Dad was ahead of us so he went the right way but Claire, Mum and I went the wrong way but that is better because it meant we walked a longer time than our Dad.

Mt William for us took a while going up but not long going down. We also went to another one on Mt William which ment we sort of did 2.

When we did Rangitoto it was a hot day so you could see the view. There were quite a few other people that did Rangitoto as well.

We tried spotting all the colours of the rainbow, we did apart from purple. It was a nice short hike and i was lucky because I found 10 cents

When i did Mt Maunganui it was so hot and sunny so you could see everything around us

You have to walk along a gravel road for aout 2 hours and then you climb in bush only for a couple of minutes

Mt Baldy was soooooooooooooooo windy my hair was blowing across my face

Up on Tongariro we could see Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu. it was good for me to see what mountain I had just climbed (Ngauruhoe). It was a bright sunny day so you could see all sorts of mountains you could even see Taranaki.

Ngaurahoe was a hardish coming up but you just had to hold onto a rock and pull yourself up and once you got quite a far way up you could see the wonderful views. Our Dad (Vinodrinker) was showing/telling us the names of the mountains that we could see. Coming down at first i was sort of scared because i kept falling but in the end i thought it was fun and i did get used of it. We also found a lot of sulphur crystal.
